SCL Health Lead Preschool Teacher $1500 Sign-On Bonus in Denver, Colorado

Job Description:This position is responsible for identifying the educational needs of children and adolescents, functioning as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team in matters relating to educational programming and transition planning. Provides patient individualized education on an individual and group level. Provides classroom skills assessment, academic skills evaluation, educational programming and transition planning to children and adolescents. Provides educational counseling services and recommendations to parents regarding the educational needs of their children. Serves as liaison to patients & community based school. Participates, along with clinical staff, parents, patient and receiving school personnel, in transition planning to a patient's community based school at discharge from treatment.

Scope As an Early Learning Center Teacher you need to know how to: Supervise and assist children in daily hygiene routines, meals, toileting, etc.- Plan developmentally appropriate activities and facilitate play throughout the day. Know curriculum content, plan and instruct children in all areas of the educational program cognitive, communication, fine and gross motor skills, affective, and behavioral.- Support and integrate arts and physical education objectives into the classroom.- Assist with orientation of new staff, new children, and volunteers.- Transport children as needed or requested.- Promote the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT).

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited four year college in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Child Development or Child Psychology, preferred If degree is not in a related field, completed or working towards completing at least two (2) three-semester hour Early Childhood Education (ECE) courses with one being ECE 101: Introduction to ECE, required- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children, required- Current Drivers License and must obtain Colorado Driver's License within 30 days of moving to Colorado, required Motor vehicle record and proof of automobile insurance coverage to be updated annually, required
