Description

Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Research Attorney on behalf of our client for a temporary assignment. The role is crucial to a research project examining the tension between HIPAA and child custody/parenting time. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to this important area of law. This is a hybrid role, permitting a combination of remote and in-office work. The research project's duration will define the length of the assignment.

Job Description:

As a Research Attorney, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research in relation to HIPAA and its impacts on child custody and parenting time.

• Use your knowledge of CO Family Law and prior motion to compel experience to inform the research project.

• Prepare legal documents and reports in order to consolidate your research findings.

• Work in collaboration with the client through the duration of the research project.

• Respond promptly to all client queries and concerns.

• Report regularly to the client on the status of the research project.

• Be able to track and report on the work being done.

  Requirements

Job Requirements:

To be considered for the Research Attorney position, you will need:

• A degree from an accredited law school.

• Active and good standing admission into state bar.

• Prior research and legal drafting experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in CO Family Law.

• Previous experience dealing with HIPAA, including understanding its implications and applications in the context of child custody and parenting time.

• Past experience with motion to compel.

• Exceptional organizational skills to manage the workflow of the research project.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
