Job Duties

Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements. Perform monthly and quarterly financial close activities.

Track, review, and coordinate site operational statistics. Execute, validate, and record monthly inventory valuation for Ore stockpile, In-circuit inventory and finished goods gold dore. Measures site monthly and quarterly performance against business plan and forecast and provide variance analysis on key metrics, including Costs Applicable to Sales, All-in Sustaining Costs, Cash Sustaining Costs, and production metrics. Execute monthly analysis of trial balance in conjunction with Site Business Manager. Perform monthly and quarterly balance sheet accounts reconciliation in Blackline software system and prepare relevant documentation for applicable SOX controls. Perform accounting QA/QC and review site forecast and business plan financial statements. Support annual audit plan, review audit reports, and help organize management action plans to resolve internal control issues. Define and implement improvements to the current financial information systems.

Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within reasonable commuting distance.

The base pay range for this position in Denver, CO is $114,566 - $124,566 per year plus standard company benefits.

Job Requirements

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Auditing, Accounting, or related field and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive experience in a related occupation.

Must include some experience in each of the following:

  1. Using SAP and Financial Accounting Modules to process, record, reverse, and review journal entries and generate reports.

  2. Working with SAP-BPC reporting system.

  3. Using stockpile inventory calculation tools (BPC Opex, BPC consol, and BPC STAS).

  4. Working with IFRS, USGAAP, and SEC rules.

  5. Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations using SAP - Blackline.

  6. Preparing Manual Review Control Documentation (MRCD) in accordance with SOX procedures.

  7. Working within mining industry and with mine sites.
