Job Description

This position is located at Collection Services Center (CSC), on the customer service team, answers phone calls and performs casework activities. CSC contacts are to and from employers, support workers, child support obligors/obligees, clerks of court, and other agencies.

Performs administrative program tracking to assist with carrying out responsibilities and goals for the CSC. This position is a member of the customer service work team. You would analyze and resolves a variety of complex case situations applying State and Federal policies and regulations. Help assist in making sure department goals and objectives are met by tracking and assisting co-workers with meeting all required deadlines in payment processing, statewide scanning, phone calls, referrals, and payment record requests.

You would provide detailed responses to customer inquiries regarding CSC program information. Provides internal and external customer support with reliacard, customer website, direct deposit, credit card payments, auto withdrawal, e-check payments, on demand payments, pay near me and money-gram while serving as subject matter experts on these payment methods. Research is to be completed on the same day, when possible, to avoid a delay in processing unless extenuating circumstances does not allow the resolution. This position would also post child support payments to CSCPro (PC based payment processing system). Respond to requests for payment records from payees, payors and external agencies.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Experience equal to three years of full-time clerical or closely related work;

OR

an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting graduation from high school, G.E.D. equivalency or satisfactory completion of a recognized correspondence or formal job-related training course at the high school or equivalent level such as that offered by WIN, OEO, CEP, CIVEC or similar programs, for one year only of the required experience;

OR

an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting nine months or thirty semester hours coursework in an accredited business school, college or university for each year of the required experience;

OR

certification from the State of Iowa Administrative Assistant Certificate Program will substitute for six months of the required experience;

OR

employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes the equivalent of eighteen months of full time experience as a resident treatment worker or Clerk–Advanced.
