Description

Are you a detail-oriented bookkeeping professional with a strong command of QuickBooks and a passion for accuracy? Robert Half is working with a small but growing company in need of a Bookkeeper to play a pivotal role in managing their daily financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, close-knit environment and thrives on handling a variety of financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the company’s financial records in QuickBooks for accurate and efficient bookkeeping.

  • Process accounts payable by reviewing, coding, and paying invoices in a timely manner.

  • Manage accounts receivable, generating client invoices, applying payments, and following up on outstanding balances.

  • Accurately handle payroll processing, ensuring employee paychecks, benefits, tax withholdings, and compliance deadlines are met.

  • Perform monthly bank and credit card account reconciliations to maintain data integrity.

  • Assist with financial reporting, including preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes and liaise with external accountants or tax preparers as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting standards and regulations.

  • Provide general administrative support related to financial operations, such as maintaining filing systems for tax and payroll documentation.

    Requirements

  • 2+ years of proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within a small business environment.

  • Expertise in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online) is a must.

  • Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.

  • Proficiency in Excel and other office productivity tools.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

  • Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with internal teams and external vendors or clients.
