GENERAL SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-orientedAdministrative Secretaryto support our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative roles with a strong focus on customer service and efficiency.
Under direct supervision from a leader on the Leadership Salary Plan grade up to and including M07, performs secretarial duties such as typing routine correspondence and forms, maintaining files, distributing mail, and so forth. Work is planned and checked by supervisor. Uses discretion and judgment when screening visitors and telephone calls, making necessary grammatical or spelling changes in correspondence, and organizing own work load to meet established priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinateOperating Room (OR) scheduling, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain detailed records and documentation with a high level ofattention to detail.
Provide administrative support, including data entry, report generation, and correspondence.
Serve as a key point of contact, deliveringexcellent customer serviceto patients, staff, and external partners.
UtilizeEPIC (preferred)or other scheduling systems to manage appointments and workflow.
Assist with daily office operations, ensuring smooth communication and organization.
Qualifications:
Provenadministrative experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong organizational andmulti-tasking skillsto handle a fast-paced environment.
OR scheduling experienceis highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office andEPIC experience is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
One (1) year of experience within an office setting preferred.
Literacy and experience working with Microsoft Software Programs required.
Previous experience scheduling appointments/maintaining calendars preferred.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with callers and visitors, and provide information requiring ordinary courtesy and tact.
Ability to distribute departmental mail and other materials.
