Description We are in search of a Patient Access Specialist to join our team in the healthcare industry. This role is located in Detroit, Michigan, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be handling patient registration, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Handle patient registration in the emergency room, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and address their inquiries.

• Maintain accurate patient records and data entries.

• Be available for other duties as needed in the department.

• Assist patients with the use of technology within the department. Requirements • Familiarity with the healthcare industry and its regulations

• Exceptional customer service skills and experience

• Proficiency in patient registration and related processes

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail

• Ability to respect and maintain patient confidentiality

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• Proficiency with computer systems and software used in healthcare settings

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to handle stressful situations and high volume workloads

• Willingness to stay updated with changes in healthcare industry practices and regulations

• High school diploma or equivalent, higher education preferred.
