Henry Ford Health System Project Manager-DBO in Detroit, Michigan

GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the Project Manager-Department of Business Operations (DBO) performs and/or manages complex project work aimed at coordination, collaboration and process improvement related to DBO operations and initiatives. Prepares reports and recommendations for management and coordinates implementation. Manages the development and implementation of dashboards, scorecards, and reports aligning with the strategy of System Ambulatory Operations. In collaboration with the Director, assists in the implementation of organizational initiatives. Serves as subject matter expert for the Business Office continuous training and data analysis. Supervises tasks of support staff relative to assigned projects. Provides direct oversight for the personnel and operation of data collection and analysis, education/training, ambulatory medical records, and door screening program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.

  • Two (2) years of related supervisory experience or coordinating the work of others.

  • Proficient in all aspects of World Class Service Excellence.

  • Proficient with Epic EHR system.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information.

  • Previous experience in leading quality improvement initiatives preferred.

  • Significant project management experience and outstanding analytical, communication and interpersonal skills strongly preferred.

  • Intermediate computer skills (i.e., Internet and email, computers, word processing, graphics and multimedia, and spreadsheets and database).

  • Ability to work effectively with populations of diverse backgrounds and ages.
