As a Senior Systems Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building and integrating server infrastructure as well as ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.

About the Role

  • Implementation, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure on premises and in the cloud; systems include Exchange, Email Security, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), and PKI

  • Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity

  • standards (scalability)

  • Utilize enterprise tools to manage, monitor and secure large enterprise data center environments

  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Exchange, Email Security, Active Directory, Entra ID (AzureActive Directory), and PKI

  • Troubleshoot server and network-related problems and quickly resolve issues

  • Seek out automation opportunities to build consistency and quality with speed

  • Research and implement new technologies

  • Provide tier 3 support for Help Desk/Desktop personnel

  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours escalations

  • Troubleshoot production issues and analyze failures to minimize outages and interruptions

  • Conduct training and knowledge sharing sessions to educate IT teams and end-users on new cloud- Exchange, Email Security, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), and PKI

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to Exchange, Entra ID, Active Directory, Microsoft 365

  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners as needed to support migration and ongoing operations

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technical subjects or at least 3 years of related work experience

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (eg, PowerShell) for automation and configuration management tasks

  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing Exchange, Entra ID, M365 Global Administration, Active Directory, and PKI services

  • Working knowledge of GPOs, AD Sites, Replication Topology, and native AD troubleshooting tools

  • Proven experience with server class hardware and Windows server operating systems

  • Proficiency with enterprise-level administration of network services such as DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting

  • Experience with integration of applications with Active Directory via LDAP and Kerberos for authentication and authorization

  • Experience with identity federation, single sign-on (SSO), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions

  • Ability to participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability

  • Experience with designing and maintaining the customer-facing and corporate data center technologies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

  • Experience with taking projects from initial concept through planning and implementation

  • Technical certifications (MTA, MCSA, MCITP, MCSE, AZ900 etc.)

  • Comfort with mentoring systems engineers on technology or skills for which you're the subject matter expert

  • Ability to architect, design and implement a system fully from concept to implementation
