Substitute Teacher:High School Diploma, Must be 18 years old/21 for some locations, and Pass background screens.

Responsibilities: - Provide instruction and support to students in various subjects, including math, literacy, and special education. - Follow lesson plans and curriculum provided by the regular classroom teacher. - Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students, including those with autism or other developmental challenges. - Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and student engagement. - Monitor student behavior and enforce classroom rules and procedures. - Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students. - Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during the day.
Requirements: - High School diploma and experience in education or a related field preferred. - Experience working with children in a classroom or tutoring setting. - Knowledge of childhood development and effective teaching strategies. - Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and follow established lesson plans. - Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children.
Note: This position is on an as-needed basis, filling in for regular classroom teachers when they are absent. Substitute teachers may be called upon to work in various grade levels, from preschool to high school.
