Position: 12-month Administrative Assistant Locations: Lionville Elementary Pay Rate: $21.11 per hour Schedule: 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, 260 days per year (12-months) Benefit Eligible: Yes Effective Date: January 20, 2025

Job Summary: Provides administrative support, as the Principal's liaison, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the entire school in delivering instructional, athletic, and recreational services to the student body.
Qualifications: *To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. *
- High school diploma plus two years post secondary education or two years experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices
- Proficient administrative assistant skills, including organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to make decisions independently, as well as to execute assignments of administrative detail as delegated
- Proficiency in the use of technology for individual and system management, communication, and research
- Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements
Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment

Assists principal, teachers, parents, and students
- Telephones contact, including messages for staff, scheduling appointments, routing, and answering inquiries
- Maintains accurate files and lists, including but not limited to staff observations, teacher attendance, Acceptable Use Policy, and class lists
- Works with the transportation department as needed to resolve issues or arrange transportation for field trips
- Sorts and distributes interoffice mail
- Processes attendance sheets for payroll
- Maintains student activity account
- Maintains student files using current software systems, cumulative folders, withdrawals, and enrollments
- Prepares homework requests for students who are absent
- Copies and collates materials for building use/distribution
- Records/updates report card data and print report cards
- Maintains, inputs, and updates building competencies and print ESARS
- Purchases inventory and supplies for building
- Processes kindergarten registration
- Serves as facility usage coordinator using current software system
- Ensures safe dismissal of all students to appropriate adult, day care van, or school bus
- Coordinates Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
- Acts as the liaison with security service and Substitute Teacher Service
- Coordinates the distribution of all keys
- Maintains a current parent handbook
- Coordinates school picture day
- Creates concert programs -- set up, type, illustrate, copy, and assemble
- Creates and maintains position procedure outline to describe daily duties of the position/department as needed

Life Benefit Pays 1 x your basic annual salary up to maximum of $60,000
Income Protection Benefit Pays 60% of your basic monthly pay, up to $1,500 per month

- 3 personal days annually for full-time employees; 2 annually for part-time
9 paid holidays per year
Tuition Reimbursement Pro-rated 75% of tuition if grade of 'B' or better is attained; limit 12 credits per year.
Salary Increases 3.3% per current contract
