Engineer 3, Software Development & Engineering

Design and develop new software and web applications; program using Python; deploy and manage software using AWS services, including EC2, EMR, SNS, IAM, security groups, VPCs, subnets, S3, RDS, and Lambda; manage software infrastructure using Salt and Ansible; create and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and Github; use Grafana and Datadog for monitoring and alerting; work with MongoDB and YugaDB; application development, support, and customization; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience programming using Python; deploying and managing software using AWS services, including EC2; managing software infrastructure using Salt or Ansible; creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Github; using Kibana for searching log patterns; of which one (1) year includes using Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog for monitoring and alerting; and working with MongoDB or YugaDB.*
