McDermott Associate Training Specialist in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Job Overview:
The Associate Training Specialist utilizes existing Training (Fab) procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Training (Fab) and Fabrication.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Develop and design comprehensive training and competency programs specifically focused on the fabrication function within the EPCI industry
Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training and competency needs and translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise learning materials
Create and deliver engaging training and competency sessions using a variety of methods such as virtual classrooms, e-learning modules, and hands-on workshops
Evaluate the effectiveness of training and competency programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback to continually improve the learning experience
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the training and competency content aligns with company goals, industry standards, and best practices
Actively participate in the development and maintenance of training and competency resources, including manuals, guides, and documentation
Support the onboarding process for new hires by delivering initial training and competency sessions and providing ongoing guidance as needed
Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations to ensure training and competency programs remain relevant and up-to-date
Conduct regular assessments of training and competency needs and identify emerging skill gaps within the fabrication function to address through tailored programs
Assist with maintaining a training and competency database and records, ensuring accurate documentation of training activities, participant progress, and certification records
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the fabrication function within the EPCI industry
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, equipment, and industry-specific terminology
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely
Proven experience in developing and delivering effective training and competency programs, incorporating a range of teaching methodologies
Proficient in using learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple training and competency projects simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt training and competency content to cater to diverse learner profiles
Collaborative mindset and ability to work well both independently and within cross-functional teams
