The Industrialization Engineer is responsible to determine an automation strategy for PCBA manufacturing processes and execute. This also encompasses Industry 4.0 initiatives and digitalization. The industrialization engineer will work with all site functions as well as R&D centers, who can lead PCBA automation design reports covering Industry 4.0 systems, OT networks, control networks and systems architectures. He/She implements measures to reduce costs, improve quality, reduce rework, and increase productivity.

What you’ll do:

  • Set up and control the industrialization phases of the Product/System development: Proof of Concept – Prototype – Qualification – Production for PCBA manufacturing

  • Responsible for new product/process introduction together with process engineers including process flow, material flow, layout, working plans, machine safeguarding

  • Responsible for projects, process, and know-how

  • Involved in supplier quality management, reliability testing and reliability analysis, including risk mitigation, failure analysis and corrective action.

  • Analyzes the product manufacturing process steps, and implements measures to reduce costs, improve quality, reduce rework, and increase productivity

  • Lead automation design reports covering Industry 4.0 systems, OT networks, control networks, and control software and systems architectures

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and standard requirements

  • Partner with Quality and Purchasing to qualify suppliers

  • Provide technical support for EHS, Quality, Logistics, Production, Finance and Facility departments

  • Training regarding any new project changes within the production

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Electronics/Electrical and/or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering

  • 3+ years experience as a process or industrial engineer in EMS sector

Skills:

  • Experience with automation and digitization of manufacturing processes

  • Experience in new project implementation and transfer within the manufacturing

  • Developing and deploying automation solutions

  • Integrating robotics into production processes for PCBA manufacturing

  • Working knowledge of electronic boards design

  • Working knowledge of ERP system SAP

  • Experience with hig mix - low volume production

  • Strong process mindset with Lean manufacturing experience, aiming to achieve excellence

  • Result and solution-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Fast and effective at dealing with difficult situations

  • A flexible person with a can-do attitude who sees opportunities where others see risks

  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization

  • Good command of the English language
