About the role

The Commercial Finance Analyst / Finance Business Partner will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. This role requires a strong analytical approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management – Commercial finance partner to the sub-channel commercial controllers, working with the wider commercial team on an ongoing basis. Provide financial support and guidance to the business unit to drive financial performance and effective decision making.

  • Performance Analysis – P&L ownership and balance sheet management, working with FP&A, financial control and the commercial team to understand and challenge the key drivers of customer and channel performance on a monthly basis. Identify actionable insights and partner with the commercial and the revenue & growth management team to ensure action is taken to help drive sustainable growth.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting – Play a key role during the annual budget cycle and strategic planning, working with FP&A, commercial and the revenue & growth management team to ensure that the key drivers of growth are understood and reflected appropriately, while ensuring the outputs are aligned with the relevant partners. On an ongoing basis help to lead the monthly forecasting cycle, finding opportunities and risks to the delivery of the budget and ensuring actions are taken to materialize the opportunities and mitigate the risks.

  • Process Improvement – Support the Head of Commercial Finance across both business and functional priorities. Display a growth mindset and drive continuous improvement and productivity within the Take Home Trade and the finance function.

  • Commercial Planning – Support the implementation of a commercial planning system and the implementation of enhancements to drive better planning and trade investment return on investment analysis.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field.

  • Professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with financial software systems (e.g., SAP).

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several priorities.
