The City of Dublin is offering a competitively paid internship opportunity for college students (undergraduate and graduate level) to gain hands-on experience working as a core member of the Outreach and Engagement team. The successful candidate for this position will perform a variety of specialized tasks related to volunteer management, citizen engagement, and community outreach for the City of Dublin. Throughout the year, more than 2,800 volunteers assist the City of Dublin with operations, park projects, community events, recreation programs and more. This internship will help to ensure that City operations, programs and events are supported by volunteers gaining a meaningful experience.
[Scheduling/Availability]{.underline}
- The successful candidate must be available to work March--October with flexible hours averaging 10-20 hours per week and picking up during the summer months to 30-35 hours per week.
- Weekly schedule will be dependent upon the selected candidate's academic schedule.
- The nature of the position will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours, some evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Certain hours/events/holidays are required.
[Intern Pay Structure]{.underline}
- Undergraduate Freshman: $15.00/hour
- Undergraduate Sophomore: $15.50/hour
- Undergraduate Junior: $16.00/hour
- Undergraduate Senior: $ 16.50/hour
- First Year Graduate Student: $17.50/hour
- Second Year Graduate Student: $19.00/hour

Intern duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with a spring adult citizen learning and engagement program.
- Oversee a summer teen citizen learning and engagement program.
- Design and oversee various youth volunteer service projects.
- Accompany youth and teen volunteers on volunteer projects and supervising onsite service, learning and engagement.
- Assist with coordinating and scheduling service projects with area organizations as well as internal staff.
- Serve as the lead for volunteer engagement for the City's Independence Day parade and evening celebration.
- Assist with specific parks and environmental projects and events as it relates to volunteer support.
- Assist with planning and coordinating specialized outreach projects as it relates to community and resident connections.
- Other duties may include: research, public speaking, recognition, event planning, as well as data input/sorting and analysis.
- The successful candidate will also play a key role in volunteer recruitment, communication, training, scheduling and management for summer events while working with a diverse community of residents.

Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Marketing/Public Relations, Public Service or any human services related field.
Possession of a valid driver's license.<
