Job Title: GSE Technician
Job Description
We are looking to add four GSE Technicians to our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on a variety of ground support equipment, including tugs, pushbacks, and belts. This role involves working on up to 600 pieces of equipment, with 90% of the work focused on preventative maintenance, such as oil changes and brake jobs. As our fleet ages, more work on breakdowns will be required.
Responsibilities
Perform basic maintenance assignments involving automotive, electrical systems, and other related trade skills.
Take direction and seek guidance and expertise from high-level mechanics, accepting training and mentoring.
Read and interpret repair manuals, basic electrical and hydraulic schematics, and supervisor/manager instructions.
Essential Skills
Automotive mechanic experience
Heavy equipment experience
Proficiency with hand tools
Diesel engine knowledge
Preventive maintenance experience
Hydraulic experience
Engine diagnostics and maintenance
Troubleshooting skills
Tire technician experience
Clean driving record
High school diploma or GED
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a mechanic (diesel, auto, hydraulics)
Experience with diagnostics, troubleshooting, engine, and brake changes
Must provide own basic set of hand tools
Flexible on schedule and shift

Work Environment
This role is based in a typical shop environment located in the cargo area of the airport. A SIDA badge is required, and technicians will be driving on the tarmac. The typical shift is Tuesday to Saturday from 10 AM to 6:30 PM. Some overtime is required, particularly in the fall and winter, and technicians must be open to working holidays, although usually only a couple of volunteers are needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dulles, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00
