Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Grounds Lead is working position responsible for the direction and management of a crew and grounds maintenance of assigned properties. You must maintain the external appearance of the assigned facilities. You will report to the Grounds Supervisor.
Primary Tasks:
You will lead grounds crew to ensure that standards of work are maintained at a high level, tasks are completed promptly.
Ensure that the crew has the proper knowledge of their tasks and the equipment to do their job properly.
Support inventory control and upkeep of assigned grounds equipment and supplies.
Recommend revisions to enhance grounds programs.
Deliver supplies and equipment to facilities.
You will ensure adherence to safe work practices by grounds crew.
Do Performance Management (Reviews, address sub-standard performance).
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Able to learn various technical/mechanical requirements of the job.
Proficient in the operation and use of multiple lawn equipment such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, hedgers.
Experienced in landscape crew management and direction.
Perform all required work in landscaping which requires bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching in different weather conditions.
Read and follow written or oral directions for tasks.
Understand safety standards related to performance of the job.
One (1) year prior Maintenance/Grounds experience
