Job Summary:

This role is a Hybrid role based in Durham, NC.

The Manager, Enterprise Learning & Development, leads a team to design, develop, and deliver both facilitated and self-directed learning for leaders and individual contributors. This role involves understanding business strategy, assessing development needs, and creating and implementing effective learning strategies. The manager oversees training programs, collaborates with HRBPs and managers to identify beneficial training, and works with senior leadership on long-term L&D strategies. They also develop, present, and manage training courses and materials, coordinating and evaluating training activities across the business.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, Human Resources and other fields.• Five (5) or more years of experience in a corporate learning & development department• Research skills to perform advanced and analytical research to find reliable and relevant content for learners.• Background knowledge in technology to develop training modules needed in learning management system.• Communication & Facilitation: Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire. Enjoys teaching and facilitation.• Creative Problem-Solving & Empathy: Creative and problem-solving skills to meet contemporary learners' needs. High empathy and understanding of effective teaching methodologies, with a willingness to stay updated on new techniques.• Instructional Design & Training Implementation: Demonstrated experience in instructional design and training implementation support for L&D teams.• Feedback & Organizational Skills: Ability to give and receive feedback effectively.Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.• Collaboration & Project Management: Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and manage multiple, competing projects to enhance organizational capability.• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).• Learning Design & People Management: Understanding of business-aligned, outcome-driven learning design processes. Excellent people management skills, including directing, empowering, leading, and holding employees accountable.

• Research Skills: Advanced analytical research skills to find reliable and relevant content for learners.

Desired Qualifications to include the following:

• Expertise in adult learning competencies to include needs assessment, instruction design, presentation and group facilitation• Evidence of certifications & licenses related to training & development tools- preferred (International Coaching Federation, PMP, SPHR/PHR, Certified Professional in Learning Management (CPTM), DiSC, Predictive Index, Hogan, or other relevant certifications/licenses.• Extensive experience in designing, executing and facilitating successful corporate learning & development programs• Familiar with and experienced in the use of technology systems for development and delivery, such as Articulate, Canva, Cornerstone/SumTotal learning management system (LMS), Vyond, Wellsaid, LinkedIn Learning, or similar programs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage Development Offerings: Oversee and expand a portfolio of development programs, including face-to-face, virtual instructor-led, and online trainingcontent.• Design & Implement Training: Lead the creation and implementation of new training programs to address organizational needs and enhance leadership capabilities, especially for mid-level leaders.• Collaborate & Assess Needs: Work with internal partners and stakeholders to identify and assess current and future development needs.• Provide Development Guidance: Offer guidance and counseling to employees on career planning and goal setting.• Oversee Learning Delivery: Manage all aspects of learning and development delivery, including budget, licenses, partnerships, vendor management, technology, and communications.• Measure Effectiveness: Develop and use measures, benchmarks, and scorecards to assess the effectiveness of training and leadership development programs.• Align with HR Strategy: Partner with the VP of Human Resources to align program offerings with development actions identified through talent review and succession planning.• Consult & Develop Content: Collaborate with other learning organizations and consult with the business to develop or propose content for various development needs.

• Foster Inclusive Environment: Cultivate an inclusive, motivational, empowering, and performance-oriented work environment.• Support Business Objectives: Perform other related duties as assigned to support priority business objectives.
