General InformationPosition Title:Crisis Services Assistant Director, 988 ServicesLocation:Main Office Date:February 2025 Reporting Relationship(s):Position reports to the Crisis Services Division DirectorHours:35 hours/week minimum Monday - Friday FLSA Classification:Exempt positionSalary range - $66,000 - $85,000General SummaryThe Crisis Services Assistant Director, 988 Services, is a key member of the Crisis Services executive leadership team. This role oversees all 988 operations, ensuring program integrity and high-quality service delivery that aligns with program fidelity. Responsibilities include overseeing 988 telephonic responses, 988 chat and text services, diversion initiatives, and clinical quality.The Crisis Services Assistant Director, 988 Services supports the Division Director of the Crisis Services (CS) division and its various programs. Additionally, this individual ensures the optimal efficiency and effectiveness of CS operational controls.Duties and Responsibilities· Assist in the analysis, formulation, and implementation of operational policies and controls to guide the CS division.· Evaluate daily operations to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend policy changes or cost reductions.· Plan and direct financial and budget activities to fund operations and enhance efficiencies, in conjunction with the division director.· Plan and manage crisis center scheduling to ensure adequate staff coverage.· Maintain a strong day-to-day presence across the division, both in office and virtually.· Support HR functions, including staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, policies, and procedures.· Supervise program managers and provide guidance to sustain a high-performance, collaborative work environment.· Oversee recruitment, selection, and training of staff, interns, and volunteers with the CS leadership team.· Conduct new employee orientation to foster understanding of organizational policies and objectives.· Plan IT needs to ensure a fast, reliable data environment in conjunction with the division director and training and data manager.· Work with division director and managers to maintain CS service accreditations and manage site-visit preparation.· Monitor and track call activity on all lines using necessary data systems.· Develop community-based partnerships in conjunction with the division director.· Prepare and submit periodic reports/proposals to funders and overseeing entities as required.· Serve as a facilitator, consultant, and/or trainer in areas related to suicide prevention and crisis intervention.· Assist with research, grant writing, and fund development for program enhancement and growth.· Provide support to staff in after-hours coverage rotation.· Supervise direct reports and other team members.· Represent and promote Contact at official functions or delegate representatives.· Perform other duties at the request of the division director. Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field, master’s preferred. Significant experience may substitute for educational requirement. Must maintain AAS Crisis Worker, Inform USA Community Resource Specialist, and Inform USA Community Resource Specialist- Database Curator certifications Previous Experience Requirement Minimum three years of operational leadership and senior-level management experience in a nonprofit organizationExperience in program design, grant writing, contract development and demonstrated experience and ability to plan for a growing organization Knowledge and Skills Needed to Perform Effectively in this Position Proven strategic and visionary leadership skillsExceptional capacity for managing and leading staff,Empowering a culture of collaboration and high performanceExcellent problem-solving skillsHighly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Additional Requirements Some evening and weekend hours are involved providing training sessions and/or shift coverageThis position description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
