Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Eagan, Minnesota

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor based in Eagan, Minnesota, United States. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role managing operations of the accounting department and ensuring effective financial management. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and facilitating internal audits.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations within the accounting department, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.

• Oversee the completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in a timely fashion.

• Prepare, analyze, and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

• Act as the primary user for accounting systems, ensuring optimal usage and functionality.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial forecasts for strategic planning.

• Collaborate with internal staff for the annual audit, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

• Monitor cash account balances regularly and take necessary actions when required.

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

• Ensure timely submissions of tax returns and 1099 forms, meeting all legal and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis as required, providing valuable insights for decision making.

• Participate in various projects, contributing to the achievement of company objectives.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Acumatica is required.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

• Must possess a strong skill set in financial reporting, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

• Experience in preparing and analyzing income statements is essential.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
