The Impact You Will Have As the Director of Behavioral Health Services, you will be responsible for the strategic evolution of the Behavioral Health engagement internally and externally. This will be achieved both through independent activities, as well as through close partnership with Blue Cross' Public Relations and Marketing areas. Included within the scope of this role are efforts to promote Behavioral Health awareness internally (including promoting staff behavioral health wellness efforts) and externally among members, customers, and providers. This is a high-visibility, high-accountability leadership role that will work cross-functionally across the enterprise with key leaders to implement and support the strategic direction in this area. Your Responsibilities Lead programs and initiatives to drive affordability of care. Drive and manage enterprise scale projects assigned by business unit leader. Accountability for the Behavioral Health external engagement strategy, in collaboration with enterprise PR and Marketing, through: External campaigns and efforts aimed at customers External campaigns aimed at providers External campaigns aimed at members Accountability for the Behavioral Health internal engagement strategy, in collaboration with enterprise PR and Marketing, through: Internal campaigns and efforts aimed at associates Employee behavioral health education and wellness initiatives External community efforts in strong partnership with internal stakeholders with community relationships Accountability for research and investigatory efforts (including competitive analysis) aimed at understanding market needs and gaps that can be translated to awareness and engagement initiatives. Lead efforts to secure conference speaking opportunities, interview opportunities, and publication opportunities. Creation of white paper and op-ed content that can be published externally. Development and execution of employee- and leadership performance measurement strategy. In collaboration with enterprise stakeholders, produce: Program descriptions One-pagers Department-specific policies and procedures Value story Design, deploy, and monitor department-wide production of outcome reporting and visibility in the form of reporting collateral to create awareness and visibility of Behavioral Health business unit performance among stakeholders. Coordinate quarterly business review forums for stakeholders Required Skills and Experience Accepting this director level position at BCBSMN requires signing an Employee Confidentiality, Intellectual Property Assignment and Restrictive Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment. 7+ years of related professional experience, with 3+ years of management experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. Registered Nurse with Psychiatric experience or Behavioral Health Professional with one or more of the following licenses with no restrictions: - Licensed Marriage and Family Practice (LMFT) - Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) - Licensed Psychologist (LP) - Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Experience in Managed Care Setting Skilled in the use of data and its application to improve effectiveness Significant experience in strategy development, execution and implementation Broad knowledge of the managed care and health care/insurance industry Experience building/leading matrix team structure and/or cross functional initiatives Listens and communicates effectively at all levels of an organization Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence others Able to work effectively and efficiently in a matrixed structure Skilled at accomplishing goals through relationships and influence versus authority and position Strong skills in data analysis and translating data into action Effective communicator - both verbal and written Preferred Skills and Experience MBA Compensation and Benefits: Pay Range: $132,300.00 - $178,600.00 - $224,900.00 Annual Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
