The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants and entertainment. The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. From small board meetings, conferences and large galas or special events to Sunday football tailgates and more, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel accommodates groups of all sizes with its robust meetings offerings, multiple food and beverage venues, a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities. Job Description To ensure that the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms, hallways, back of house and landing meets Omni 4 Diamond standards. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Inspects the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms. Inspects the cleanliness of guest hallways. Assigns special projects as directed by the Director of Housekeeping. Support new Omni Safe and Clean protocols throughout the hotel to support Omni's Covid-19 related sanitation protocols. Reports any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms. Ensures that all GRAs have appropriate supplies and linens. Assists in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary. Assists in processing AM and PM room status reports. Ensures that the GRA's linen cart is neat and well organized. Ensures that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked. Maintain all supply storage closets, neat and clean at all times. Must have all guest rooms punched in via the phone after completion. Ensure all guest room doors be held open with a door stopper when needed. Ensure VIP rooms must be inspected before noon. Participate and monitor the new hire training process. Ensure check-out rooms are a priority. Maintain daily knowledge of hotel, facilities and events. Participate and monitor the new hire training process. Qualifications Qualifications: Previous Housekeeping experience is preferred, with demonstrated leadership skills. Able to work with management on special projects. Must work with a strong attention to detail. Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in English. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, push, pull, stoop, bend and lift items of moderate weight for an entire shift. Working Environment: Interior of hotel with daily travel around property. Exposure to hazardous chemicals.
