MISO Energy Resource Adequacy Engineer in Eagan, Minnesota
Description
Starting Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 - position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
As our Resource Adequacy Engineer , you'll conduct studies for Resource Adequacy and Planning Reserve Auctions, such as Loss of Load Expectation (LOLE) studies, Seasonal Accredited Capacity (SAC), and Seasonal Resource Assessments. You'll communicate findings internally and to relevant stakeholders, ensuring compliance with resource adequacy processes assigned to you.
In one year as our Resource Adequacy Engineer , you will know you were successful if you:
Perform studies utilizing Astrape SERVM and PowerGEM TARA to bolster resource adequacy, adhering to established processes while identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
Employ MISO’s Module E Capacity Tracking (MECT) tool to reinforce MISO’s Resource Adequacy efforts.
Effectively collaborate with Market Operations, Market Design, Settlements, and other departments to ensure cohesive support for resource adequacy initiatives.
Deliver presentations of study outcomes at stakeholder meetings and address both internal and external stakeholder inquiries.
We are looking for talented professionals who have a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of several engineering disciplines (see qualifying degrees below).
While not required, it would be advantageous if you have any of the following:
Specific experience with any of the following: GADs, LOLE studies, probabilistic assessment, or transmission planning
Previous resource adequacy, transmission planning, or RTO experience.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
