Job Description
The Technician 2 cleans equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and makes the needed repairs on equipment within the area of responsibility in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid downtime. This role involves diagnosing and performing maintenance on floor scrubbers, focusing on both battery and propane-powered machines, including hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical components.
Responsibilities
Perform check-ins when equipment is returned to the shop
Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment as needed
Clean, pressure wash, and prep equipment for repairs, ensuring rent-ready status
Perform full-service maintenance on all equipment, diagnose, and repair most mechanical problems
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety standards
Keep track of rental equipment (inventory) and coordinate deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls with customers
Maintain the warehouse area
Clean, repair, order, and install necessary parts to ensure standards are met
Source and manage the inventory of parts and supplies
Complete and maintain equipment service records including damage repair, preventive maintenance, and warranty processing
Ensure decals are replaced and equipment is cleaned and detailed
Operate company vehicle safely, maintain a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
Essential Skills
Experience with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
Repair and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform preventive maintenance
Knowledge of pneumatics
Assembly and service skills
Experience with small engines, diesel engines, and mechanical assembly
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3-5 years of mechanic experience with internal combustion (IC) engines, propane, electrical, and hydraulic systems
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired
Mechanically inclined
Experience performing maintenance on cars
Ability to provide own tools (list available of what is needed)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $31.00
