Gannett Fleming Principal Project Manager, Traffic in East Brunswick, New Jersey
What You Will Do:
Gannett Fleming's Transportation Practice is looking for an experienced Principal Project Manager - Traffic to join our team in East Brunswick NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Securing, planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of small to large scale multi-discipline traffic projects with a high degree of technical complexity, involving a diverse project staff.
- Reinforcing and continuing to establish strategic market position/service offerings for the group to align with client needs and Gannett Fleming strategic initiatives.
- Serving as a Project Manager, Task Manager and/or Traffic Technical Advisor on projects and pursuits.
- Mentoring traffic staff.
- Preparing traffic impact studies including modeling & simulations, Maintenance of Traffic plans, and traffic signal design including signing & marking.
- Marketing Traffic Analysis and Engineering services and assist in preparation of proposals for public and private sector clients.
- Using HCS and Synchro and other traffic engineering software.
- Performing quality, schedule and cost control functions on assigned projects and tasks.
- Managing and delivering multiple project commitments, both new and existing.
- Supporting internal teams and servicing outside clients directly.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline is required
- Licensed Professional Engineer in NY required, NJ PE preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of traffic related design experience in the field of traffic/transportation engineering is required
- Familiarity with local client design standards including NJDOT, NJTA; NYCDOT, CTDOT, MTA, PANYNJ, a plus.
- Hands on experience of civil/roadway design, intersection design and traffic signal system design required
- Experience applying standard principles to traffic engineering studies to identify and evaluate alternatives.
- Adept at working collaboratively and building strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
- History of driving successful business development and strategic planning for key pursuits.
- Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication skills, both written and verbal skills.
- Track record of successfully completing projects and team leadership.
- Experience in writing/development of project proposals and letters of interest.
- Solid client relationships and willingness to help lead bid, proposal and presentation efforts.
