Cardinal Health Consultant, Account Management in East Hartford, Connecticut

Cardinal Health Aero-Med™ manufactures and distributes more than 50 million specimen collection kits annually to hospitals, reference labs and testing organizations. As a specialized medical distribution company, Aero-Med™ supplies high quality medical products and equipment to large, independent reference laboratories, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery for their diagnostic and testing needs.

What Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Account Management is responsible for cultivating and maintaining on-going customer relationships with an assigned set of customers. Provides new and existing customers with the best possible service and recommendations in relation to billing inquiries, service requests, improvements to internal and external processes, and other areas of opportunity. Provides product service information to customers and identifies upselling opportunities to maintain and increase income streams from customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage relationships between the customer’s supply chain team and internal Cardinal Health teams to ensure flawless service

  • Pursue, initiate, oversee, and take accountability for driving key initiatives that deepen the customer relationships and drive value for both customer and Cardinal Health

  • Identify, interpret, and manage customer expectations and requirements through proactive account review, issue resolution, and regular engagement and review of key initiatives.

  • Demonstrating the value of the Cardinal Health Solution suite of tools, while building long- term relationships with existing customers, establishing a “True Solutions Expert” to support our customers and the Sales Team.

  • Actively engaged as a key member of the commercial team, participating in customer calls, leading internal calls/meeting discussions for the benefit of our customer.

  • Collaborates cross-functional with team members such as sales, marketing, operations, finance, quality, legal, etc.

  • Prepares reports, written communication, presentations, and other material as needed and works on complex projects of large scope.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Prior customer service or account management experience desired

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry- products or services

  • Proficient with Excel

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects.

  • Completes work independently and receives general guidance on new projects.

  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives.

  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Anticipated salary range: $74,400 - $111,615
