During your time as a Maintenance Mechanic II (East Setauket, NY), you will Troubleshoot, repair, PM, and installation of facilities equipment with the aid of the work order system. Prioritize work orders, using SAP so the KPI's stay within our goals. Handle routine and emergency Work Orders following the rotation system. Participate in the on-call system for afterhours emergencies. Schedule, instruct, and oversee the work of outside facilities contractors and inspectors. Attend all safety training, perform inspections, safety officer requirements, safety talks, schedule and follow all MOC requirements, plus any additional EHS requirements that come up throughout the year. Assist with snow removal and de-icing of all plant entrances. Create work orders, order materials, and pay for supplies, purchase, and services using SAP. If you have... High school diploma or GED. Familiarity with all phases of Facilities Maintenance including carpentry, basic plumbing and electrical. Use of basic hand tools. Ability to work safely and follow all safety SOPs. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personal and management. Motivation necessary to work independently and in a team environment to accomplish goals. Relevant work experience of 4+ years in a manufacturing cGMP environment is preferred. Ability to install and repair plant utility piping systems, including water, steam, and compressed air in a cGMP environment. Capacity to learn and use SAP and Microsoft office.
