Responsibilities This position is responsible for evaluating the quality process and assisting with quality system development and the continuous support of quality product improvements This position is an onsite role, located in Syracuse NY, and reports to the Quality Manager Implementing, maintaining and improving quality standards in manufacturing and design processes to ensure the productionand delivery of the highest quality product Ensure PPC processes are ISO compliant and maintained through proper documentation and training Taking the initiatives to review and contain the customer complaints and championing corrective and preventive action processes to address the internal and external product/customer issues Championing corrective action processes relative to internal and external product/customer complaints, and conducting experiments for root cause determination when necessary Leading the quality/engineering/production associates to identify the root causes Reviewing and making dispositions on suspect and rejected materials on the quality issues; participating the daily MRB meeting to review and address the issues Leading process continuous improvement to drive the assembly scrap reduction and efficiency improvement Sustaining and optimizing the SPC system in the assembly process, applying thorough analysis to prevent the potential quality issues from happening Performing PFMEAs on new and/or existing product designs, equipment, and processes to ensure a smooth start-up Additional responsibilities include overseeing quality technician activity, developing in-process inspection criteria/instruction, specifying new gauge requirements, and driving supplier quality improvement initiatives
