Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled A&P Mechanic to perform maintenance on General Aviation aircraft within a shop/hangar environment. This role involves conducting annual inspections, avionics updates and repairs, transponder checks, and addressing previous substandard repairs. The aircraft you will work on include Cessna 185, Cirrus SR's, and similar models. The position requires reworking basic door structures, rewiring, and executing various removal and replacement tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance on General Aviation aircraft including Cessna 185 and Cirrus SR models.

  • Perform annual inspections, avionics updates and repairs, and transponder checks.

  • Address and rectify substandard repairs previously conducted on aircraft.

  • Rework basic door structures and perform necessary rewiring.

  • Remove and replace aircraft components as needed.

Essential Skills

  • A&P License

  • 4+ years of recent experience in repairing General Aviation aircraft

  • Experience in Avionics or Structures, preferably both

  • Ability to crouch, stoop, and bend to access small spaces

  • Own basic tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Specialization in Avionics installs or basic structures repairs for annuals

  • Experience with aircraft maintenance, General Aviation, and various inspections

  • Knowledge of Garmin and other avionics systems

Work Environment

Work in a hangar and shop space located at Wenatchee airport, which includes an avionics repair bench area, tools, and parts. Although the current space is somewhat cramped, there are long-term plans to move into a larger hangar across the runway. Collaborate closely with the station manager, who is also a mechanic, to solve complex issues and ensure high standards of aircraft maintenance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of East Wenatchee, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00
