BRECOflex CO., L.L.C. Senior CNC Machinist in Eatontown, New Jersey
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for manufacturing metal/plastic components utilizing HAAS CNC Machines. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines to produce precision parts. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes, with an emphasis on maintaining high quality and efficiency.
Skills and Experience:
· Experience:
o Minimum 5 – 7 years of experience as a CNC machinist, with at least 3 years’ experience with HAAS CNC machines.
o Extensive experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes
· Technical Skills:
o Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
o Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machine operations.
o Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments and tools.
· Other:
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Functions:
· Set-Up and Operation:
o Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce parts for customer based upon work order specifications, drawings, and internal standards.
o Load material into CNC machine using different clamping technologies, select appropriate tooling, touch off tools, monitor tool condition during operation.
o Adjust machine settings and process parameters, such as speeds, feeds, and cutting tools, to optimize production efficiency and ensure highest product quality.
o Debur parts – utilizes deburring equipment to finish parts.
· Programming:
o Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to write and modify CNC programs and macros.
o Fully understand geometrical product specifications.
o Utilize G-code to modify available CNC codes and create new code to manufacture custom parts with tight tolerances.
o Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to programs to ensure optimal machine performance, product quality and tool life.
· Quality Control:
o Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
o Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to verify part dimensions.
o Use CMM to inspect features with critical tolerances.
o Perform first-piece and in-process inspections, adjusting as necessary to maintain quality.
· Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
o Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
o Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues, work with maintenance to request repairs and adjustments as needed.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Collaborate with engineering and leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
o Provide input and share experience to enhance productivity and reduce cycle and set up times.
o Mentor and train junior machinists and apprentices in CNC machining best practices.
· Safety and Compliance:
o Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
o Ensure compliance with Company policies and industry standards, including ISO quality requirements.
Physical/Environmental:
· Must be able to lift 75 lbs. to waist height.
· Prolonged periods of standing (90% of shift)
