Actalent Senior Mechanical Engineer in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer with a PE license to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Revit and MEP design, with a proven track record of managing and executing complex mechanical engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion.

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely and within-budget completion.

  • Design and Engineering: Perform detailed mechanical design and analysis for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

  • Utilize Revit for 3D modeling and MEP design.

  • Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.

  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

  • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively.

  • Address client concerns and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on MEP design.

  • Proficiency in Revit and other relevant design software.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
