Sr. Software Engineer Team Lead - Direct Hire/Hybrid Innova Solutions has an immediate need for a Sr. Software Engineer to work in a Team Lead capacity hybrid in Downtown St Louis MO: The ideal candidate will have
- Sr. Level experience in full stack Java, Drupal CMS, AWS/GCP, DevOps, FrontEnd (React/Angular); however, .NET candidates may also be considered.
- Candidates will have BOTH enterprise level and small consultancy industry experience
- This job is a direct hire, W2 ONLY role Role will require a couple days onsite in downtown St. Louis MO Comp range is $160-200K/year
Role Overview: The Technology Team Lead bridges the gap between technical expertise and client needs, leveraging extensive software engineering experience to oversee the full software development lifecycle of high-profile, multimillion dollar GCP projects. They design resilient solutions and application architectures, tackle complex software components, and provide technical guidance to engineers and stakeholders. They are responsible for overall technical quality, project efficiencies, and serve as the technical escalation point for other projects. Internally, they provide strategic technology roadmaps and thrive on unraveling complex challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Lifecycle Management: Oversee all aspects of largescale custom software projects, including software, language, and framework decisions, task breakdown, and production readiness.
- Team Leadership: Evaluate, develop, and supervise a highly effective software development team across multiple disciplines (Java, Drupal CMS, AWS, DevOps, FrontEnd). Technical Review: Own the technical review process, providing ongoing feedback and recommendations.
- Software Delivery: Manage the software delivery process by identifying complex problems, developing mitigation approaches, and documenting decisions.
- Architectural Strategies: Recommend and justify modern architectural strategies for clients, focusing on AWS, Drupal, Python, and React based applications.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Foster collaboration as the primary technical liaison between engineering and other project disciplines (Design, Quality, Project Management, Strategy, Product).
- Domain Leadership: Contribute to the strategic direction and initiatives within the domain, maintaining coding best practices
- Technical Communication: Explain complex concerns across multiple levels of abstraction and audiences.
- Candidate Assessment: Assess technical skills of prospective candidates and provide hiring recommendations.
- Sales Support: Provide technical recommendations, estimates, and reusable estimation templates for sales requests.
- Advocacy and Representation: Regularly publish articles, contribute to opensource projects, and speak at industry conferences to share knowledge and insights.
Required:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in a computer related field or coding bootcamp certificate.
- Ideally 15+ years of software development experience.
- 6+ years of software architecture experience, including modern design patterns.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering multimillion dollar projects.
- Extensive experience with CMS driven applications (preferably Drupal) and React ecosystem frontend UIs. Solid experience in Java, Kotlin, Python (Flask, Django).Expertise in code patterns, application architecture, best practices.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). Ability to design and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Exceptional verbal and visual technical communication skills.
- Strong systems architecture experience and iterative software development process understanding.
- Advocate for AI tools to increase delivery efficiency.
Preferred:
- Proven ability to design and manage enterprise architecture governance processes.
- Proficiency in using IaC tools like Terraform.
- Experience in executing data migration and analytics projects.
