Description

We're seeking a Dispatcher to join our client's team in the Edison, NJ area to optimize dispatch operations. This role involves close collaboration with the warehouse and truckers to ensure efficient shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the warehouse team and truckers to ensure smooth operations.

• Manage all shipment dispatching and coordinate with drivers.

• Use Excel for data management and tracking until the new ERP system is implemented.

• Oversee multiple tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in dispatching.

• Monitor and manage customer accounts, addressing issues as needed.

• Resolve customer inquiries and process applications accurately.

• Maintain up-to-date customer credit records.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in selecting and managing truck routes directly (not involving third-party carriers).

• Strong understanding of route planning software and tools.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to optimize routes for efficiency, cost, and safety.

• Familiarity with traffic patterns, road conditions, and geographical areas.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
