Job Title: C-Safety Coordinator
Location: Edmonton, AB
Our client is seeking a C-Safety Coordinator to join their team. As a C-Safety Coordinator, you will be part of the safety department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and proven leadership qualities which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Description:
Lead daily safety meetings and verify all turnaround safety processes have been fully implemented.
Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws, regulations, rules, and codes by contractors.
Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions during on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.
Compile, analyze, and interpret incident report data to develop corrective actions to eliminate risk.
Participate in safety walks & audits, providing positive correction advice to employees working at risk.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a Safety Coordinator role in the refinery or petrochemical industry.
Degree in health and safety related discipline and/or hold current CSP preferred.
Subject matter expertise in understanding regulatory policies from OSHA, MSHA, NFPA, NEC, CGA, etc.
Demonstrated experience in site auditing, assessment, and coaching.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
