Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician III, you will lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train and mentor service and contract technicians. Hard Skills

• Troubleshoot and repair: electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems

• Automated conveyors systems experience

• Complete preventative maintenance

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, etc.

• PC competency: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Reading blueprints and schematics

• Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs

• Work order management

• Robotic maintenance

• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards

• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Soft Skills

• Leadership experience

• Vendor management experience

• Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

• Positive working relationship across all the Amazon Operations facility

• Developing training plans for service technicians

• Developing work plans for emergency repair of critical assets

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position East of Edmonton, Alberta.

Work Environment

. Candidates need to be okay with their performance being tracked by data and numbers. Need to be comfortable walking 10,000 steps per day. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces. Shift: All candidates must be open to any 10-hour shift. We have available positions for all shifts and applicants must be open to working any shift.
