Sodexo is seeking a qualified Facilities / Engineering Operations Manager to support our operations at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX.
Driscoll Children's Hospital, a leading provider of pediatric care in South Texas since 1954. This position is crucial in ensuring all Driscoll facilities maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. This role will support two hospital campuses (Corpus Christi - 229 beds, and Rio Grande Valley - 114 beds) and over four clinic locations across South Texas, including Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville, and Victoria. This position requires regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

We are seeking candidates with proven success in achieving reductions in expense through innovative projects in facility management and renovations, with technical expertise in building services including plant operations, MEP and project management for re-engineering initiatives. You also may oversee contract labor for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety equipment, security systems and building hardware.

What You'll Do
Manage and maintain all facilities-related regulatory documentation for all Driscoll locations (hospitals and clinics).
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to healthcare facilities, including but not limited to:
The Joint Commission (TJC) standards
CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations
NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards
State and local health department regulations
Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities to identify potential compliance issues.
Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified deficiencies.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
Stay up-to-date on changes in regulations and disseminate information to relevant personnel.
Collaborate with facilities management, engineering, and other departments to ensure compliance.
Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and surveys.
Travel regularly to all Driscoll locations, including occasional overnight stays.

What You Bring
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, facilities management, healthcare administration) preferred.
[Number] years of experience in facilities regulatory compliance, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements (TJC, CMS, NFPA, OSHA).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret complex regulations and standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or other relevant certifications.
Experience with electronic document management systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel frequently, including occasional overnight stays.
Ability to navigate hospital and clinic environments, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
