ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Daily management and execution of full PO cycle: issuing POs, pulling in and pushing out POs in a timely manner, expediting past due POs, and following through with vendors to ensure POs due within two weeks arrive on time.

  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to discuss pricing and delivery schedules.

  • Work with internal stakeholders, including Production, Engineering and Plant Managers to assure material is on time to meet production schedules.

  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking and stockouts, optimizing stock flow.

  • Maintain item information and ERP system parameters to maintain data integrity, allowing the continued use of the ERP system as the primary tool for the procurement process.

  • Resolving any discrepancies in quantities received and or pricing on vendors’ invoices.

  • Prepare and send RFQ’s for goods and services, work with Analyst to evaluate quotations.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth collaboration.

  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly. Monthly report on supplier on-time performance.

  • Routinely review market conditions associated with importing/exporting costs, scrap costs, steel costs, surcharges and shipping costs.

  • Look at and recommend potential new sources or alternative materials, prices and products by looking at catalogues, trade journals or online.

  • Other duties as assigned by Procurement Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field related to supply chain functions or equivalent experience.

  • Manufacturing background preferred.

  • Highly analytical with proven success utilizing critical problem-solving skills and prioritization.

  • Computer Proficiency: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Travel up to 25% of the time

  • Strong project management skills

  • Self-starter, a team player, result oriented with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and make critical business decisions based on established metrics.

Compensation Information:

Salary Range: 76,590 - 93,500
