We are looking for an experienced individual to oversee the design, implementation and evolution of our strategic learning & development (L&D) program, Reach. The Reach L&D Leader will be responsible for driving the future strategy of the Reach program, including Learning and Development, the Connections team, the operational execution of the program and partnering to create the system behind the strategy. In addition, the Reach L&D Leader will align this work with other Apple growth and development initiatives, including global People strategies, to provide the best resources, information, and opportunities to AppleCare employees.
Description
We are looking for an influencer and organizer who thrives in an environment of complexity and can seamlessly connect strategy to execution. This Senior Leader will need big-picture vision, and the drive and tactical ability to make that vision a reality. The Reach L&D Leader needs an in-depth understanding of adult learning theory principles and are able to balance responsibilities as an instructional designer and program manager. You will make a substantial impact by developing learner-centric experiences and aligning them to our business priorities. This role requires the ability to find opportunities to improve employee development through change and creativity - proposing and developing the appropriate learning solution(s). Responsibilities include: Build upon the multi-year vision, goals and priorities for the Reach program with a focus on innovation, impact, and operational excellence Align program with business needs to foster and support employee development, growth and culture goals Drive and maintain Senior Leadership engagement and alignment, facilitating and supporting key decisions Partner with global, regional, and business DRIs and leadership teams to understand needs, recommend resource models, and lead design of support resources Direct operational execution while managing multiple priorities and program complexity Influence engagement with Reach through annual People processes including APR, TCP, Engagement Survey Partner with other development programs and cross-functional teams across Apple and AppleCare to create a community of practice Partner with third party vendors to deliver best in class services to AppleCare Support, including potentially third party coaches, assessments, and learning platforms. Develop strong collaborative relationships, across all levels, as a trusted advisor for key partner teams Use data to determine focus areas, drive results and progress, recommend org-wide actions and report impact Design and direct end-to-end program communications, training, and engagement strategy to drive a holistic change management strategy
Minimum Qualifications
10 yrs+ of relevant experience in a corporate L&D organization, including L&D program management experience
5+ years people leadership experience, preferably with experience leading managers
Prior experience leading highly effective and experienced teams, specifically project based teams
Strategic thinker who is able to connect dots and see the bigger picture.
Ability to mobilize, inspire, and lead teams without direct authority and manage conflicting stakeholder interests effectively
Experience building employee development programs that balance the needs of a large global organization.
Shown to contribute consistently and positively in a fast-paced, changing environment and be able to address resistance as needed. Demonstrated ability to manage and anticipate change.
Ability to drive and sustain engagement across multiple global people initiatives, both strategic and foundational
Self-starter who possesses exceptional time management and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
Proven success effectively leading and implementing programs, initiatives, tools, and/or processes
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

15+ years work experience in L&D, with 10+ years in a people manager role.
Develop agile processes, tools, communications, and feedback mechanisms focused on achieving operational excellence and rich, consistent feedback for continuous improvement

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,400 and $285,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
