Job Title: Local Driver
Job Description
A furnishings manufacturer in Elkhart is seeking a local CDL A driver/spotter for the 2nd shift. The driver will be home every evening and will deliver to local customers within a 150-mile radius. Additionally, the driver will cross-train as a spotter, moving trailers on the lot when needed. This is a set 8-hour schedule with some occasional overtime. The driver will also assist in loading and unloading the truck, which uses standard 48-53' dry vans.
Responsibilities
Deliver to local customers within a 150-mile radius.
Cross-train as a spotter to move trailers on the lot.
Assist in loading and unloading the truck.
Work a set 8-hour schedule with occasional overtime.
Train on 1st shift and orientation will be on 1st shift.
Flexible to assist 1st shift or do a split shift when needed.
Essential Skills
Safe driving record (less than 1 violation in the last 3 years).
CDL class A license.
1+ years of driving experience.
Willing to assist in unloading.
Able to drive manual transmission.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience unloading own truck.
Experience with multiple stop deliveries.
Experience with city deliveries (Chicago, Indianapolis, etc.).

Work Environment
The work environment includes driving standard 48-53' dry vans on a set 8-hour 2nd shift schedule (1pm - 9pm). Flexibility is required for occasional overtime and assisting 1st shift. Training and orientation will be on the 1st shift. The work attire and dress code are typically casual and appropriate for truck driving.
