Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Elkton, FL

Shift: 7am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities:

• Assisting/preforming the break press operator role when needed in bending bulkheads, ledges, and blank-off plates, placing stickers on panels, checking holes, installing the riv-nuts and rivets, and assembling sheet metal components.

• Preparing the punch parts for the next step in manufacturing by cleaning, deburring material, labeling parts, stacking parts.

• Transporting raw materials, metal sheets, or finished products within the facility using forklifts, cranes, carts, or hand tools. Ensuring materials are stored in an organized and safe manner.

• Tooling up the turret punch for different gauges of materials

• General maintenance and cleaning of turret punch

• Emptying scrap bins (lift, in excess of 50lbs) and dumping the scrap hopper with the forklift.

• Operation of the brake press as needed.

• Assisting the brake press with punching, shaking out, and bending of sheet metal components and dampers, and restocking materials shelf.

• Inspecting finished product for defects or imperfections and reporting any issues to the supervisor.

• Collaborate with other teams to identify areas for process improvement and recommend changes to enhance product quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role.

• Knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).

• Understanding of production procedures and quality control standards.

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and long hours on your feet.

Safety Compliance:

Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate

personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.

Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
