Description A Brief Overview Works under the direction of a responsible RN/LPN to provide safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status. 10 Smythe is a 24 bed Acute Care Telemetry unit that provides care and services to patients who are admitted for a variety of reasons. Our primary focus is Pulmonary, Renal, Urology, and Neurology. We are the designated stroke unit and manage patients on peritoneal dialysis. Click Here to read more about 10 Smythe. What You Will Do Direct patient care delivery (May include ADL's, hygiene measures, select treatments, patient/family education, discharge preparation) Communication and documentation of interventions and observations Participation in quality improvement process Involved in learning and self-improvement Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
