We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager/Engineer to join our team. This person will design and administer the Quality Assurance system for global electronics business. They will ensure that products and services satisfy customers' requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, administer, and audit conformance to UL, CSA, ROHOS and ISO 9001 standards, ensuring products meet applicable requirements. Work with management to develop and implement a proactive Quality Improvement Strategy and promote Quality Management practices across all functional areas (Marketing, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Test). Provide quality reports to management and customers, depicting quality levels, issues, and the cost of quality. Maintain effective communication with customers on corrective action plans. Ensure proper inspection and test programs are in place, ensuring process reliability and compliance with internal and customer requirements. Oversee the repeatability and reliability of processes and test capabilities. Lead root cause analysis and Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) programs, working with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues using data-driven methods. Ensure corrective actions are fully implemented via Net-Inspect. Establish, implement and lead an internal audit plan and act as (or supervise) the Quality System Lead Auditor. Conduct audits and inspections of suppliers, production facilities, and internal processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Ensure proper handling and disposition of questionable or discrepant materials according to established procedures. Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure products meet regulatory and customer standards. Monitor and analyze quality performance data to identify trends and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Engineering, Design, and Supply Chain) to improve product quality and processes. Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain testing protocols for new products, ensuring testing equipment is properly calibrated and effective. Provide training and support to staff regarding quality standards, tools, and processes. Ensure the company's Quality Management System (QMS) is maintained and continuously improved. Understand and follow applicable company practices, policies, procedures, and safety standards. Monitor and manage the GIDEP (Government-Industry Data Exchange Program) activities, ensuring timely identification and reporting of non-conforming materials, counterfeit parts, or other issues. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to mitigate risks and implement corrective actions as needed Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/work experience plus 5-7 years directly related experience in Quality. Lean Six Sigma Certification or equivalent. Additional background in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain management is a plus. Sound judgment and excellent organization and decision-making skills are required. Thorough understanding of quality systems and product requirements are required. Must be able to work with multi-cultural teams and effectively span all time zones. Must possess strong diplomacy and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate at all levels (customer, executive management, and internal work teams). Must be able to quickly establish credibility and be viewed as a "change agent" (leader of improved processes). Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to work under pressure and achieve a high degree of accuracy, while keeping the proper perspective on the big picture. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
