ManTech Shop Foreman in Erbil, Iraq
ManTech is seeking a skilled, professional, and service-oriented Shop Foreman to join our vehicle sustainment team. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
Troubleshoots issues that arise.
Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Selected candidates must be a US Citizen.
6+ years of qualified maintenance experience of which at least 4 years is experience with MRAP vehicles.
Proven maintenance, repair and technical experience and background in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance or military operations or maintenance.
Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: light or heavy duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, aviation ground support systems, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
Demonstrated experience in providing formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training to contractor and unit personnel.
Proven communicator in verbal and written disciplines to include basic computer skills and document preparation.
Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
High School Diploma or GED. • Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements if needed.
Must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Willingness to accept both temporary and permanent CONUS & OCONUS transfers to other assignments if needed.
Ability to deploy to risky hostile environments if required.
Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferred.
Preferably familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems.
Prior training on Non – Standard Commercial Vehicles (NSCV) i.e. Toyota, Polaris.
Prior training on the CROWS Weapon Station.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active (DoD) Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
Must be able to work in high noise areas.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
