Job Description

As Customer Service Manager you will give effective leadership and direction to ensure that the Customer Service department achieves the best performance standards.

You will work closely together with the Sales and EMA Commercial Operations department to optimize the internal and external communication to maximize Flowserve benefits.

The major challenge of this position is to manage the departments to such an extent that the Pump QRC meets or exceeds the yearly plan, while meeting the required customer contractual obligations.

Job Accountabilities

  • You will lead and manage the department to reach company objectives such as; budget, on time delivery, customer satisfaction, QHSE, cost reduction, continuous improvement, cash flow.

  • Drive accountability by setting, defining and monitoring department Key Performance Indicators to ensure company goals are met.

  • Develop and implement a short and long-term department plan.

  • Accountable for a proper entry of clean, well defined, correctly priced and technically acceptable orders in line with customer`s specifications.

  • Accountable for keeping relevant processes and procedures in line with the latest standards and requirements.

  • Have an outstanding relation with customers on a strategic and operational level.

  • Embrace the Flowserve enterprise mindset by ensuring a strong collaboration with other QRC’s to align load and capacity, within EMA Sales and Commercial Ops.

  • Ensure synergies regarding shared functions/resources are established and sustained.

  • Drive the direct reports to high performance by setting and communicating individual and departmental goals and objectives to challenge work collaboratively to improve work methods and approaches.

  • Customer Service Manager reports to the QRC Manager of the Etten-Leur Pump QRC.

Work experience and skills

  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration

  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant working experience on management level within the (pump) industry.

  • Have a high span of control to monitor the +/- 400 projects annually.

  • Knowledge of the petrochemical and power industry in general and an extended knowledge of the applicable in the (pump) industry.

  • Good oral and written communication skills, fluent in the Dutch and English language is mandatory.

  • Able to communicate at all levels in the organization up to corporate level.

  • Reliable in fulfilling obligations and consistently meets deadlines.

  • Proven experience with Continuous improvement projects.

  • Have a flexible mindset, stress resilient and have a large sense of responsibility.

  • Willingness to travel.
