Aerotek Cnc Machine Operator in Eugene, Oregon

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator 22-29$HRLY - pending experience

Level 1 Entry Level available @ 22$HR and 29$HR SKILLED

Job Description

Perform machining on parts and tools, operating more than one machine at a time. Use blueprints and schematics to machine the parts. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs is required, and standing for the entire shift is necessary. This is a day shift opening M-F with some potential of OT on Saturdays. Candidates must be comfortable with taking directions well from others, performing basic operations with CNC, documentation, meeting deadlines, and working 8-10hour days. A HS Diploma will be required for this position along with standard compliance/good tenure**.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate level machining of parts and tools with limited supervision.

  • Set up and operate all available machine tools, performing progressive machining operations on work involving close tolerances.

  • Understand qualities of metals and alloys and apply that knowledge to parts being machined.

  • Comprehend all forms of technical documents including blueprints, drawings, written specifications, charts, and tables.

  • Skillfully use all machinist hand tools and measuring instruments.

  • Fit and assemble components as necessary.

  • Set up and lay out work from blueprints, sketches, and written specifications according to requirements.

  • Maintain a track record of high-quality work with low rework and scrap history.

  • Maintain high efficiencies and run rates for given machine.

  • Work safely and as part of a high-performing team.

  • Perform other duties as required in high-volume, high-mix part runs.
