As a Mining Superintendent at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Demonstrate and uphold our core values, being Safety, Excellence, People, Integrity, Communication, Responsibility, and Innovation.

  • Assists Project Manager in planning of field portion of assigned project

  • Ensure that quality is preserved in the construction process and that the budget is maintained

  • Interact with the Mining Manager, Field Engineers and Home Office project staff

  • Ensure that the workers are safe and healthy

  • Ensure that all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, work rules, and safety program requirements.

  • Respond appropriately to accidents and follow company procedures – (accompany employee to hospital, complete required paperwork, drug screening, etc.)

  • Evaluating the requirements in the field and recommend hiring new workers

  • Organizing the duties and responsibilities of project workers according to schedule

  • Verify time sheets and hours worked of site company personnel

  • Daily meetings to direct work goals and discuss safety issues

  • Track change of conditions which add time to the schedule or constitute a change order

  • Write project progress updates in liaison with the construction foreman

  • Record all the happenings and progress of the field work and reporting it to Project Management through daily reports and personal narratives

  • Prepare and present field related submittals as may be required by contract for both owner and company

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 10 or more years’ experience with Mining operations

  • Experience must include 5 years supervisory, training or management positions
