Job Title: 1st Shift - MIG Welder
Job Description
The MIG Welder will perform all MIG pipe welding on mild steel, some stainless steel, and cast iron, utilizing open root welding techniques. The role involves working with Lincoln and some Miller welders, interpreting blueprints, and performing fitting, grinding, material handling, measuring, and true fabrication work. This is not a production welding role; all welds are pressure tested and range from 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG pipe welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
Utilize open root welding techniques.
Work with Lincoln and Miller welders.
Interpret and work from blueprints.
Perform fitting, grinding, material handling, and measuring.
Execute true fabrication work.
Ensure all welds are pressure tested.
Essential Skills
5 years of MIG welding experience.
Experience in welding mild steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and fabrication.
Skills in fitting, grinding, material handling, and measuring.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with flux core and stick welding.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Capability to handle diverse welding tasks beyond laying a single bead.

Work Environment
The position is for the 1st shift, working from 4:30am to 3:00pm (Monday to Thursday) with potential overtime on Fridays. The work environment includes a spacious, open-concept welding area with 5-6 welders in the shop, allowing for ample space and collaboration.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
