A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Guidance Navigation Control Engineer Position type: Full-time, Contract Duration :6+ Months Location: Everett, WA Position Responsibilities: Position Responsibilities: • This requisition is seeking accomplished, self-motivated engineers to design, analyze, test and certify flight control systems and components for large commercial aircraft as well as to support the production and fleet operations of this equipment. This requisition is for multiple positions in multiple flight control disciplines performing many of the tasks listed below. • Decomposes airplane level requirements into system level requirements and further decomposes system level requirements into component requirements • Participates in and/or lead system, component and detail certification efforts, including: creation of required certification artifacts, such as, system safety analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, and fault tree analysis; confirming and demonstrating traceability to regulatory requirements; and resolution of regulation conflicts. • Gathers, defines and documents system level requirements to support flight control and mission or trajectory requirements definition. • Resolves requirement conflicts. Performs and documents analysis and design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems to validate or assess the system design or models. • Participates in and/or lead system level and component level validation analysis and testing, including: test monitoring; analysis and test report authoring; supplier test report review and approval; test failure analysis; and test failure mitigation. • Supports initial production efforts including: timely resolution of first build problems and supplier manufacturing facilities; ensuring readiness for production start-up milestones, such as, power-on, system gauntlet, system functional test, ground test and first flight; analysis and resolution of rejections and ground/flight test squawks; and ground/flight test data review for design validation and certification compliance. • Supports global fleet operations including: subject matter expert consultation for airline and regulator queries; participate in and lead resolution efforts to resolve Service Related Problems (SRP); and analyze reported flight incidents to provide recommendations to the Safety Review Board (SRB) for Continued Operational Safety Program (COSP) determinations. • Generally, these activities require successful cross-functional coordination within and outside of Client including with:, avionics, pilot/crew operations, airplane safety, aerodynamics, systems software, suppliers, airline customers, and regulatory agencies. • Develops solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction. • Works under general direction. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering • 7+ years of technical experience in an aerospace or similar regulated industry environment Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • 7+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience with System Safety Analysis including failure modes and effects analysis; fault tree analysis; common cause analysis, and single & multiple failure analysis • Experience with flight controls system and component architecture • Experience in requirements development, design, analysis, and verification & validation of flight control systems • Experience using requirement management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS • Experience with manufacturing regulated
