Providence St. Joseph Health Implant Material Handler in Everett, Washington

Description Position provides on-site Surgical and Procedural Implant Management and Special Orders for Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Receives, assembles and delivers special order supplies as requested for scheduled surgical and procedural cases. Coordinates with vendors regarding upcoming surgeon/provider requests for specialty items. Works closely with Perioperative Business Management to ensure all requests are contract compliant. Reviews two-week surgery schedule for any conflicts with vendor provided product and new requests for specialty item needs. Accounts for patient charge inventory used during a surgical procedure and validates the usage in EPIC with the circulating nurse's account. Sends all validated charges to Finance for patient billing. Provides vendors with purchase order number for non-stock items used during surgery. Reviews and validates all lot and serial number for human, bovine and porcine tissue in accordance with Joint Commission guidelines and complies with all other regulatory requirements. Required qualifications: 5 years Experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory surgical clinic working with surgical supplies, products and equipment, with the ability to interpret surgical schedule. Preferred qualifications: Associate's Degree Or equivalent educ/experience. Coursework/Training: Completion of a formal training program in materials management, sterile processing, surgical technology, or military hospital corpsman. Why Join Providence?
